Matthias was a great help! he quickly dialed in that my issue was actually an insulation problem and confirmed my gas fireplace chimney had no issues. another company didn't take the time to look at anything except the chimney chase from the roof and wanted $1500 to fix a problem that didn't actually exist.

Excellent experience today
Troy did an excellent job today in cleaning and inspecting our fireplace and chimney. He reviewed his observations with me. When asked if there was anything he would recommend in the way we use our fireplace he had sound suggestions that I will implement in the future. Excellent technician, you are fortunate to have him.

Fireplace Wood Insert
We first had 2nd Generation to our house to do an inspection on our two chimneys. Matthias and Troy gave us our solutions and we went with the wood insert solution. The whole team, all four of them, were so great to have to install the wood insert. They explained everything they were doing. Very quick on the install as well. 2nd Generation's prices are right inline with their competition in the Twin Cities Market. We will definitely be future customers!

Our team conducted a comprehensive annual chimney cleaning and video inspection service. We began by thoroughly cleaning the chimney to remove any accumulated creosote, soot, and debris, ensuring a safe and efficient chimney operation. Next, we performed a detailed video inspection using advanced camera technology to capture high-resolution images of the chimney's interior. This inspection allowed us to identify any potential issues, such as cracks, blockages, or signs of wear and tear. Our team meticulously documented findings and provided a detailed report, offering recommendations for necessary repairs or maintenance. This proactive approach helps prevent chimney fires and ensures optimal performance for the upcoming heating season.
